Marco is an experienced commercial lawyer with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, fundraisings for public and private companies, corporate governance, tax, restructuring and financial services. He is commercially minded and takes a practical approach when assisting clients and negotiating on a range of corporate and commercial matters including share and business sales, asset disposals and business divestments, licensing and distribution agreements, corporate governance documents and subscription agreements.
Marco has previously worked as an associate at a major global law firm where he advised on a number of high profile transactions including advising an ASX listed mining in respect of a merger with a Canadian mining company by way of scheme of arrangement, assisting with the sale of a major Australian plant and equipment rental business to a foreign purchaser and advising an ASX listed electrical technologies company on the divestment of one of its businesses. Marco has also worked at one of the big 4 accounting firms in the indirect tax team where he provided general tax advice, assistance with cross border transactions, undertook tax due diligence and advised on tax disputes.
