          How Does an LRBA Work in Practice?


          • A business owner has $500,000 in their SMSF and spots an opportunity to buy their commercial premises for $1,000,000.

          • A bare trust is set up to hold the property on behalf of the SMSF.
          • The lender has no recourse to the fund itself — only to the bare trust and the individual members.
